SW London NHS volunteering around school hours

Please advise if I can do some kind of volunteering for NHS around 10am - 2pm during school hours in SW or central London. I have a BSc degree.
Is there a website listing all volunteering options, or should I e-mail hospitals/trusts directly?

DD volunteered at Kingston Hospital for a couple of years. I suppose it depends what you have in mind, but she was gathering family and friends feedback from visitors to A&E. She approached the hospital directly, via the website, where they had (a couple of years ago) a section for volunteering.

@NatureofSociety thanks, I was keeping them in mind but decided to apply for Chelsea and Westminster first as they are 20 minutes away and their registration form looks like a full job application with references, application letter etc. :)) at one website C&W even announces they have too many applicants and closed registration for now 😑

check royal brompton hospital, it is near chelsea hospital and I know they have volunteers at rose ward (children's ward) and other wards

@NatureofSociety Kingston hospital wants volunteers to live within 5 miles, and my address is within 6.3 :(( I'll try anyway..

When I was last in A&E (SE England) there were volunteers after you had been triaged and were waiting assessment etc - they were going around patients - mainly looking for people who were by themselves and checking if they needed company !

try the Friends of the Royal Marsden - their Chelsea site is close for you

i work at one of the hospitals listed and may be able to help - what kind of volunteering do you want to do?

I could do documents filing, data entry, e-mailing, helping pts/staff around up to 20 hrs a week Mon-Fri.
After browsing few sites it feels there's a tough competition for volunteering places and they don't really need anyone.

Looks like they need a very particular set of skills I don't possess, but will apply anyway.

Are you happy to be on the wards, eg asking people for feedback, or putting up posters and signs? If so, you could ask to be a Patient Experience volunteer
