Calling any midwives out there for employment advice!

Hi, just after a bit of advice really!

I was really inspired by my midwives during my pregnancy and found myself thinking that perhaps I would quite like to become one. Of course I dont really know ANYTHING about the job of a midwife toehr than caring for pregnant ladies and delivering babies, and I am quite sure there is a lot more to it than that!

I was just wondering if any midwives on this site could offer any useful adivce or insights into your job?

For example -
how long is the training?
How would I go about finding out more?
What kind of qualifications/experience/skills are needed?
What do you love/hate about the job etc.....

anything info at all would be of great help, thanks!!
