Hi all,
Hope you are taking care of yourselves, with everything going on at the moment.
Has anyone else experienced strange online advertising after a public professional dispute? We have all had those funny personalised ads since the 2000s but these were unrelated to my clicks ("will-writing" when I have never looked into a will, posts direct to overs-50s despite not being anywhere near 50 years old, "random" adverts about people who live in the town I happen to be living in...even after I relocated, the town named in the adverts changed)?
FYI, the adds appear in my email inbox, despite selecting preferences for no personalised ads with my email provider. Also, on the periphery of webpages - the bottom of a Sky news article, for example, or on the side of a page whilst I'm online shopping at Coast, for example.
Will attach more examples if you have experienced this and want to compare. Maybe we can get to the bottom of this. Went to Currys, spoke to developer friends, even lawyers - either no one understand it, or they don't want to get involved.
