Post-Job interview response time

Had an interview last week, they said they would get back to me within a week and it’s been a week. Should I wait or touch-base?

I thought it went well, and he said he would get back to me quickly and seemed happy with the salary I asked for, but now starting to think the long response time means I am unlikely to be offered it 🫣

Don't lose hope, last job I got they took a week longer than they said they would but made me an offer!
If you applied directly to them (ie not through a recruitment agency) I would wait a few more days before contacting them.

Congratulations

I am waiting to see if I have a 2nd interview...

Hooray! Congratulations!

I was going to say that at this time of year I want to let successful candidates know quickly but if someone from the interview panel goes on holiday the next day then there probably hasn't been time to discuss interviews properly!

And the candidates who were a definite no get declined quickly so a little wait could well be good news!
