If anyone can offer any help/tips for writing a 500 word statement of suitability for a position of Support Officer within HM Courts and tribunals Service,I have all the relevant skills for the role but want to give myself the best possible chance by writing a good statement of suitability,If I have a better idea of how to word the statement that would be a massive help.
🙏
thanks for any help that can be offered.

Use the essential criteria as headings within the statement. Write one strong example for each, not a summary of all your experience.

This may feel counter intuitive but it’s how to get a CS interview!

Really tie your experience into the essential criteria. Spell out exactly why you fit the bill using the same wording they use- don’t assume it’s obvious.

STAR technique.

Use “I” statements not “we” statements.

There are lots of YouTube videos you may find helpful.

In the job advert it should have a list of behaviours such as ‘seeing the bigger picture,’ tailor your examples around the behaviours and make sure your example matches what is expected for the job grade. Good luck.

Refer to the essential and the desirable criteria…literally go through all of the bullet points, adding additional experience as you go

Good luck 👍🏼

That’s only if behaviours are being assessed at application. If you’ve been asked to write a statement of suitability based on the job spec, don’t start shoehorning behaviours in.
