Invited to interview - panicking

A couple of weeks ago I applied for a job, not for a second thinking I would get an interview. Anyway this morning they emailed and offered an interview.
Now I'm panicking! In my head I thought I had zero chance and only applied as it's more money and in the same field I already work but at a higher pay grade and a lot more responsibility.
I have a 9 year old dd I would have to arrange childcare for in school holidays should I get it whereas at the moment I work term time so it's not a problem,
I have a dp who works full time but would absolutely help where he could.
What do I do? Go for the interview and see what happens or stay as I am until dd is older

Congratulations!

I always like to tell myself that there's no decision to be made until I get an offer. So I'd do the interview (especially if there's a chance of more money!) then worry about practicalities if you get an offer.

At the very worst case, you've gotten yourself some more interview experience which is always handy.

Good luck!

I would say go for it …

A few years and you won’t need to pay for childcare ..

what have you got to loose by going for the interview

good luck

Well done, go for the interview and see what happens- if it’s more money that means you could cover the additional child care if you got offered it.

Just do the interview and take it from there.

Thanks everyone. You're all right, at the very worst I'll get experience in interviews so I think I'll go to the interview and see what happens from there
