I have been out socially with 5 other staff at work but don't invite most of employees. We are talking about another 20 staff. Now the other four employees have been pulled for discussing time out at work.

Is this unreasonable or am i overreacting???

just a quick question. Is it allowed to be 'discipline' after an 'investigation' about a matter without the chance to give your side of the story. How can there have been an investigation without me being questioned prior
to being 'bo**ocked'

Ask manager for written statement about the alleged criminal activities aka talking to your mates about what you have been up to.

I think some of the people on your ward need to grow up. I think your manager needs to grow a backbone and needs to say to people who resent your groups closeness to get a life.

There appears to be some mean spirited, petty, vindictive cows working with you.

stonedout just in answer to your last question - if it's a formal disciplinary process you should have the opportunity to put your side and to appeal any warning you are given, but I think you said it wasn't an official warning? In which case no -it's a rap on the knuckles rather than an official warning on your file, so you don't necessarily have the right to put your side across as such.

You had a meeting though didn't you - did you not put your side across then?

Well, if I was a relative and saw any member of the nursing staff drinking alcohol on their shift I don't think I'd be too pleased, nor would I want to be looked after by someone who had been drinking either.

This has to be a piss take?

ruddynorah · 20/04/2008 19:10

you were drinking a bacardi breezer at work? gross misconduct i'd say.

llareggub · 20/04/2008 19:19

Hmm, a nurse called stonedout drinking a barcadi breezer on duty?

Sounds like you are making the right decision to leave. I suspect there are other careers that might suit you better.]

Suspect someone is a little bored tonight....

stonedout · 20/04/2008 19:19
