I've worked for 15 years in commercial property and last year sold our properties. Now I'm reinvesting into less hands on properties and am considering what I might like to do with myself. I've been considering working towards a job with an MP, possibly volunteering to start, as I'd like to do something that uses my experience to help others and am curious if anyone has any experience in this area and what it was like? Would they recommend it? Or was it soul destroying buearcracy at its worst?
Or has anyone any suggestions for someone like myself who wants to work towards a job that helps others? My children will still be home for the next 8 years, so I don't want something that will impact them, but want to become engaged in something that I can gain experience in and slowly add to as the children need me less IFYSWM.
