Feeling down and need advise

hello, I’m looking for some advise/direction/inspiration. I currently work remotely for a company and have done the last 2.5 years prior to that I was a private housekeeper so the role I do now is completely different. I’ve always sort of struggled with this role as a result of lockdown and remote working I got really bad anxiety and having to present presentations at work was crippling sometimes I would have to tell work as it would effect me. Obviously they put me through some more training for this and I had to really push myself to get put my comfort zone, which I did get to a much better place and did get promoted. It’s been 6 months in my new position and my job hasn’t changed really, I pretty much do everything I was before and there has been no feedback as to how I’m preforming but equally I haven’t reached out more because I feel a pest, I’ve reached out before in the past and had reviews and then not much has changed. I also sometimes feel left out and lonely, like I’m not contributing enough. I’ve been seriously ill over the last couple of years with mumps, chronic condition etc. I guess you’re wondering why not look else where? I’ve tried, I want to stick to home base working because we’ve recently got a kitten and don’t want to be leaving him at home all day and I actually love the work life from home. But there is nothing, no one is interested and on top of that I am also trying to convince and have been trying for almost a year, I’ve just recently been told I have low egg reverse and not to wait around so it’s also a big leap to go else where. I just feel stuck and maybe someone else looking at this might be able to give a better view. I just want to be happy again and have a healthy working job where I feel seen.

Well done on overcoming your anxiety about presentations and securing the promotion.

What were you hoping the role would look like 6 months on from the promotion?

It can be difficult to connect with people when you're working remotely and it doesn't happen so naturally, it does take more conscious effort to ask for feedback and put yourself on people's radar deliberately. When asking for feedback or to be involved in projects, don't think of it as being a pest but as being a good proactive remote worker.

Thank you for coming back to me. To your point I did actually say a little while ago abou bein quiet, anything I can do any more clients I can take on so I do often reach out to be more productive but there is never anything given to me. Which is why it makes me question so much and was doing therapy to build confidence to flip it into thinking I’m left to my devices because I manage my work load so well but I do like to have regular meetings to just touch base and have done with other jobs for years. I do have work friends but not always able to say how I’m feeling it’s a very very small team.

sorry I’m truly not trying to come across negative I guess I just feel very flat at the moment and looking for something that will light a fire within me to be passionate about and have something to talk about at home.
