I work in a customer facing role. A colleague is leaving in 2 weeks, she stopped making an effort with the job months ago so it is no surprise. Another colleague has had an ongoing battle with the manager and is handing his notice tomorrow so will be going in 1 month.
I am feeling stressed now. Their positions will be vacant and the management have a tendency not to get temps in and let the staff struggle. This happened to us last summer when a staff member was on long term sick for 3 months which the manager knew was happening as it was a planned operation, as a result we were all burned out. We all have annual leave coming up too so work is going to pile up.
I feel sad these colleagues are leaving as they are nice people. It will take a while to recruit as job adverts have not even gone out yet for the colleague who is leaving in 2 weeks. I just feel uncertainty.
