I applied for a job and within 3 days they contacted me and sent me an email saying they received my application. Within a week I signed an employment contract. Weeks later they sent me an employment letter.

The employment letter stated that I am on probation and if I have any questions about my contract I should contact send an email. It's been over a month now close to two months they haven't responded to my email when I was enquiring about my contract.

The employment letter was attached to my emails, it also said since I am on probation they have a task for me and the task was to post a job position using my linkedin account. Ever since I posted the job there hasn't been any communication. This was 5 June 2024, on the 12th of June 2024 I sent them an email about my contract, asking a few questions till today they haven't responded.

On the 23rd of July 2024 I sent them another email saying I still haven't recieved any feed back, what's going on. Till this day I have no response.

Is this a scam?

I applied from South Africa, the company is in New YorkUSA.

Are they paying you?

What start date was in your contract?

What research have you done on the employer?

Asking you to advertise a role and not responding to you are both red flags. Have you met anyone in person/given them your bank details or id?

I'm sorry but this doesn't sound good.
