A colleague has been off sick for 2 months. They are in another team. We had a restructure as my workload was overwhelming so they created her post to relieve the workload. I trained her once and the next 3 times she cancelled the training and is now off sick. I had a feeling she was avoiding taking on her tasks.
She posts recent photos about family parties and photos of her watching England play in the pub on Facebook while off sick. Why are companies more concerned about the person who is off and yet I am still struggling with work that I should not be doing as it is for another team. I feel like just leaving the work altogether yet management are wishy washy and say wait for her to get back which could be September now. Her team won’t help.
I should not even be doing this as the whole idea was my job was stressful and her job was created to help. I am always at least a week behind in my work.
