Hi

I need some advice please.

I've recently started a part time job within a school and I am scheduled to work 39 hours per year. How does this work out for the holidays.

1.Am I paid throughout the year and my pay is divided into 12 parts or...

2.Only paid for the weeks I work?

I can't for the life of me work this out and I've yet to receive my official contract explaining this. I've always worked within a school before on a part time basis, but throughout the whole year.

You are paid for 39 weeks work plus your holiday entitlement and the total.is split over 12 months equally. Hope this helps.

They usually spread the pay over 12 months so work out the pro rata salary for the year then divide by 12. I used to get 4 weeks holiday on top.
