Resources for learning about people management ?

I'm preparing myself to apply for a promotion later this year and I've been told that one of the weaknesses of my CV is people management. I've never officially managed anyone. Only matrix managed juniors, colleagues in joint projects etc.

My org is pretty small and HR isn't doing any "manager" trainings until next year.

Are there any good (!) reputable online resources I can access to starting addressing this gap on my CV?

Which country are you based in?

can you not ask current employer for training or funding for training?

Thanks @atticstage I'll have a look.

I'm in the UK - in England.

My org does usually run trainings for new managers etc but they have paused it until next year.
