Starting new job at 4 weeks pregnant

I've been through a rough couple of years at work and finally have a new role to move into, however I've just found out I'm about 4 weeks pregnant. I probably would have conceived around the time I was interviewing. I already feel awful and feel like I need to hide it until at least 12 weeks, if not ideally until 20 weeks as I want to be taken seriously in my new job.

I guess I'm looking for any advice on others' experiences in this situation and any thoughts on whether I should tell my manager this early on in pregnancy? TIA

Personally I would tell your manager even if you don’t tell anybody else as soon as possible so that they can do a risk assessment and make any adjustments needed for you, as well as gaining the extra protection you have during pregnancy.
