Emergency meeting at work

I will know soon enough. I work for a private company and our dept is around 400 people. One head, 5 directors and then staff underneath that. Boss is relatively new from
US. Calls an urgent meeting and asks others from us countries to dial in on the 4th July! Meeting is this afternoon but we’re all wondering what is going on! Business hasn’t been great and encouragement has been made for staff to apply to another part of the business. Do you think we’re at risk?

Sounds like it - a company wouldn't call something like this in case they need everyone to know the same info at the same time.

Sorry, OP. It sounds like you might well be at risk. It isn't necessarily a disaster though...it was shit at the time, but redundancy is one of the best things that ever happened to me!
