Would be keen to find some camaraderie if anyone is in a similar situation.

Well... I may be soon. Within my team, there are currently 8 people with my role. We've been told that 2 posts will be eliminated and that we are all to interview for the remaining 6. The role and job description are the same as what we are already doing, so we just have to persuade 2 people (from different services in different parts of the country) why we should be allowed to keep doing our job.
