Chef zone

DS is 20 and home from uni for holidays and desperate to find a job for the summer. He’s been offered a role by chef zone, but they’ve told him he needs a UTR so it’s obviously self employed. Are there any pitfalls with this? I’m happy to help him with tax returns etc but thinking more of things like insurance- will he be covered by chef zone if he either has an accident or causes any damage? I really want to say go ahead as he’s desperate to earn a bit of money but it rings alarm bells with me as I’m very cautious 😂 grateful for any advice or experience x
