New manager, regular hours changed

I work in a local convenience store. We’re contracted to do different shifts each week although there’s a few who do what suits them. I was luckily enough to eventually get a few years back shifts that suited me. Which was mainly early mornings with the odd afternoon. I rarely got late shifts which I hated. My shifts were on regular days with the odd chance of day due to needs of the business. We now have a new manager who has completely changed my hours for next weeks rota different days and now instead of mainly early shifts I’ve got 2 early shifts and 2 evenings and worried that I’m loosing my regular pattern of shifts. I need to explain to the manager that I mainly prefer the shifts I was doing but also I’m able to be fully flexible to help occasionally with the needs of the business and that I can do extra hours. I just don’t want to come across that the hours I prefer are all I can do. I am anlso worried he may be the sort of manager that may not like my dictating what I want do do. Any suggestions.
