For my DH, what's the difference between the first requirement and the second, both seem to be asking for skills and experience...Would be grateful if anyone could explain what they are asking for!

Is the second part structured?

He should list qualifications and jobs.

First part, take the requirements and detail how he’s met each one.

eg experience of managing large projects - managed xxx which involved yyy and used whatever techniques, resulting in a zzzz.

Agree with previous poster.

First part is going through the essential criteria and giving specific examples of how he meets those.

Second part is more broad i.e. what skills & experience does he have.

First part is specific examples. Second part is a broader overview. No different really to a CV and in depth cover letter. Can't he work this out?

@Yellowflowers7 it will also likely be scored so he must address each part of the person spec with a specific example even tho it can feel a bit tedious or he may not score highly enough to get through to interview.- best of luck !
