Nhs parental leave

Looking for some advice regarding nhs parental leave.

I worked for one nhs healthboard for 21 months and then had a break in service of 2 days. After this I worked for a health board for 1 year and then I had a 2 month break before joining a new health board.
I have been told that I do not qualify for parental leave as I have had this 2 month break in service is this correct?

To qualify for parental leave you have to have worked for the employer for 1 year or more, so if you didn’t work for those 2 months and have been with this employer for less than 12 months now, yes they are correct.
