Getting paid after going back to work after mat leave

I’m a teacher and have been on maternity leave since September. I am currently doing some KIT days and will return to work on 8th July full time. I wondered if anyone knew if I will get paid my salary at the end of July or whether I will have to wait until August? I heard somewhere you get paid the following month after returning to work and I just want to be prepared for a low payslip if that’s the case!!

I would think as long as the paperwork gets to payroll in time for July pay you should be paid in July

It depends on your payday and payroll cut off date. If you are paid late in the month I.e. 25th or after, there is no practical reason why you won’t be paid in July. Your KIT days, or some of them, maybe paid in June.
