Weekend days off

at the place I work, we have been told we can only book 4 weekends off per year.

you can either work every other weekend sat + sun. Or one day every weekend. I opted to work every Sunday.

Ive realised that people who work every other weekend (52 weekend days per year) will have 8 days off with their 4 weekends. But I also work 52 weekend days per year and can only book 4 off.

Do you think this is unfair? Should I approach work and tell them? I’m starting to get really annoyed by it and don’t know if I should say something!.

No it doesn’t look unfair. You never have to work Saturdays.

That doesn’t really make any difference though, people who work every other weekend get 30 Saturdays (and Sundays) off per year….

I’m talking about actual weekend days worked. Both should work 52 total days. They get 8 off. I get 4.

You get other days off in the week so it'll be an even amount of days off overall.
If you think you'd prefer what your colleagues have ask of it's possible to change to working all weekend, every other weekend.

Why don’t you ask to switch to working both days every other weekend?

I think the issue is you chose this pattern. I have done years of weekend working and would prefer every other weekend completely off! More freedom.
