My 15 year old will be taking part in a week of work experience soon. Are there restrictions to the number of hours they can work and the times they can start and finish?

For school based work experience it is normally school hours. TBH I would just work with whatever the placement gives him as it’s normally only a week?
if a young person is employed and still in education then there are restrictions on working hours. But don’t they do the work experience instead of going to school

I found that many companies would not allow a 15yo to perform works experience because they are under 16 and therefore not covered by corporate insurance.

My ds spent a day in my company's marketing department, and he spent a day working on the local farm which he thought would involve less computers. He was wrong.

But it was all organised through friends.
