Short notice for interview - WWYD

About a week ago I was told I had an interview with a company and asked to share my availability. I heard nothing until literally 10 minutes ago when they've sent me an invite for an interview in 1 hour's time from now! It's one of the times I said I was available but I am not in the head space! Would you do it? I do have another offer on the table but not had the full offer letter and am negotiating on salary....

Yes I’d it.

I wouldn't be impressed with this and assume they don't value your time or have poor communication skills..

It's diabolically rude to send an email rather than pick up the phone

I would assume this also. Doesn't mean you are not going to be considered though.

So I asked them if they could reschedule and they said yes. I always worry about being difficult but I just knew I wouldn't have my head in the right place and the late notice seemed a red flag for me! The HR person said they thought they'd sent the invite on Friday but then discovered it didn't send so he was happy to reschedule. The interview is now tomorrow, but my motivation for this role has decreased now.... will see how it goes.

Don't let this slip up by them effect how you feel about the company though. It wasn't great but it shouldn't define the company.
