I wonder if you wise ones can enlighten me (before I potentially get told to F off by asking the lady in person)…

Each week when I do my food shop (in Lidl) there is a lady (not a Lidl employee and not a shopper) using her phone to - what looks like - check prices and record them. She also tidied the magazines and packs up old issues to take away.

YES I know I’m nosey, but what is this job?!

I’m trying to find flexible part time options when I go back to work in September after being a SAHM for 6 years!

Mystery shopper perhaps ?

They have people from the company who supply the magazines and newspapers that do stock rotation and checks.

That’s what I wondered but she’s there at the exact time every Tuesday!

I used to do this at a supermarket many years ago. Can't remember the exact name but it's to do with quality and stock control.
I did it every Thursday .

Merchandiser?

theres a website that will come to me, if no one else beats me to it, for cards and make up sections, of supermarkets.

Merchandiser. I've seen that job advertised for greetings card displays.

She will be working for the company that provides the magazines for Lidl to sell. Supermarkets have deals with third party companies for all sorts, cards, flowers and so on.
There will also be reps from big brands visiting to check their products are displayed correctly.
