Looking for advice.
I have been working with a large firm for nearly 3 years, Consultant, client facing role. It is a good Company with good benefits and opportunities for progression. Previously to that I worked in industry. I am nearly 50.
There are promotions every year. One part of me wants the additional money and sense of achievement; the other part is not sure due to the additional work/responsibilities, the kids are still teens and I want to be part of their lives. Many of the people in the Company are young, ambitious people with no family commitments who have started there fresh out of university. We don’t have family here and I enjoy travelling.
I also would like to build up my pension so i can retire by 60.
