Probation

Your experience of probation.... I've never worked somewhere that used a probationary period but it looks like many do now. What do you have to do and not do to pass it. I'm just assuming be good at your job?

All of my jobs have had probation periods.

You come in, do your job in a satisfactory way. Pass probation.

It’s generally just a formality now, to make sure that you’re not a terrible fit for the role and company. It’s all a bit pointless now though, as you have very few employment rights in your first two years so they can get rid of you at any point during essentially a 2 year long probation.
