Reapply same role ?

I'm in my notice period and I've been waiting to hear back from several firms. I'm either in round 2 or not heard back since from those firms since submitting my CV some of which have been over 3 weeks ago. On the company profile it shows CV under review/ in consideration.

Some firms have reopened the vacancy that I was initially rejected for. Is it okay to reapply as the JD completely matches my CV but not sure why I'm not being picked.

Before anyone says anything, my CV is ATS compliant as I am being considered for some roles and I also have got my CV reviewed by a few people.

I'm not sure what the heck is happening!?

Anyone else in the same boat??

Rant over..

Nothing to lose, I'd give it a go

Are you planning to submit the same CV? Because that would probably be pointless.

Are you applying directly or via LinkedIn?

Cover letter?

Reach out to the hiring manager on Linked In? Find the recruiter for the job? It's hard to get selected directly.

Yes I have tried reaching out to them (bought premium subscription) but they don't respond. 💁🏻‍♀️

I was planning on same CV but I'd tailor it more for them. Most cases I'm applying directly on the company website.

Haven't included a cover letter. Some company recruiters and other recruiters have said it's not necessary.

Ok - think you need to just wait it out a little, because otherwise it will start coming across as creepy if you do too much.

Usernamerequired123 · 01/06/2024 08:44

I'm just able to send one message even in Premium, sort of a cover letter to my application. How is that creepy? Do you know how it works ? Enlighten me please.

No it will start being creepy if you do too much. I say that because I've seen it happen before where people reach out to a bunch of people in the same department and it comes across psycho/too keen to the hiring manager (it makes them look like they'd be a handful to manage or a major kiss up). Send 1 message to 1 person, then that's it.

Do I know how what works? I do know how Linked In works yeah.

Depending on the job, for financial services though I wouldn't attach a cover letter I'd try and have a convo instead.

I'd message and be like... I've seen blablah job and applied, hopefully you received my application as I believe i'd be a suitable match. I'd love to have a chat about the role if you have availability? I hope to hear from you soon.

Then if they didn't get the CV due to AI filtering etc, it's likely they'd ask HR for a copy.
