Any HR people- can I request a weekly breakdown of pay?

Hi!

Anyone who perhaps works in HR or just someone who's clued up on it all, could I have some help please!

Basically I'm applying for maternity allowance, which requires me to send my 13 weeks of highest paid payslips. But if you get monthly pay slips you're to send 4 months of payslips and they work it out via that.

However, my problem is that I've been off sick due to pregnancy related sickness, so some weeks I've been in full time and not been off, some weeks I've only been on SSP. So this in turn brings my monthly wage down and if they use that to work out my wage for the 13 weeks it's going to bring it down loads! Which seems unfair as if I had weekly payslips I'd get the correct higher amount!

So, is there anything I can do about this? Can I ask my HR for a weekly breakdown? I want to see if this is reasonable before I ask them as they are a bit rubbish with things like this, it's only 3 people so I don't think they'll want the extra work...

Thanks!

The Test Period is 66 weeks. You should be choosing your 4 highest paid months from within that. Are there any better months you can use within the 66 weeks where you weren't off sick?

If you're paid monthly, you only have monthly pay calculations and payslips. Your employer can't create weekly "payslips" for you to submit as evidence when you were paid monthly, payroll doesn't work like that. If you had lost your payslips you could ask them for replacement payslips or a statement, but that would still be for your monthly pay periods.
