To change to full time work and childcare

A bit of a ramble, apologies in advance.
I returned to work 3 days a week after maternity leave but now my child has started nursery I’ve increased to 4 days but still struggle financially. I love the days off I have with my child but we don’t go on days out only to parks or farms and I feel so guilty. I know I need to work full time so I have been looking and applying, I could increase my hours at work however the pay isn’t great (NHS admin) The part I’m struggling with is school holidays, my child’s nursery is term time only and I don’t want to be struggling during half term for someone to watch them. Currently when not at nursery family share childcare (2days)but I can’t expect them to provide it all week when not at nursery. Do some childminders provide care on school holidays only? I’m also concerned the extra ill be earning will be spent on childcare so financially not really any better off.
Any advice is appreciated.

Could you go back to work full time but term time only? You might be better off because you'll be on full time pay but won't have to pay for holiday childcare?
Or do your work let you buy extra holidays? If you bought the max number of days would that cover school holidays plus a few days help from family?

My childminder also covered school holidays and random inset days.
There's also holiday clubs they can go to when they're a bit older.
The ones run at the council leisure centres are usually good value but you've got to be quick when booking opens!

Use a year round childminder.

I used a holiday club when mine were younger and some AL, and their dad used some AL. I managed fine, teenagers now so childcare days are gone. I didn’t have any family to help but managed ok

Thank you for your suggestions! I forgot I could buy extra holiday as an option. Definitely thinking it would be manageable now x
