Scared of having too many offers

I've got two job offers. I want to make sure my checks go through before I reject one. Is that allowed? If I sign both conditional offers could I get in trouble? They could knock me back at any time so surely I'm not legally bound to turn up to work just because I signed a conditional offer? Help please

If you accept an offer and then don't start they could in theory make you work your notice, or even if they didn't want you to work it they could stop you starting another job IF your contract said you weren't allowed to work elsewhere at the same time. It's unlikely they would bother though.
Would probably burn bridges though if it matters

I’m in exactly the same boat. I’ve signed the conditional and the contract but I’m waiting for them to sign the contract and they’re dragging their feet. I have to tell the other company really soon so I’m constantly checking email today to see if the contract’s been signed. I’ll be chasing tomorrow.

I would delay the least favourable one as long as possible if you can (if they send you a contract going back with points to clarify etc).

So this is a conditional offer. Is that a contract or does that come afterwards? Surely if they can pull out whenever they like I can too or does it not work that way?
