Do I need a career coach?

In a very odd situation at work and can't seem to settle on a direction.

Left a company last year that was a specialist in digital learning space ( my role was bus development). To join a smaller organisation within a much larger organisation that did similiar work.

Started to recognise very early that they were in a state ( think no sales) and within one month of joining it was wound down. Was awful.

Luckily I was 'rescued' by the CEO of another part of the company who took some of us into his team. They are more broadly consultants and wanted to offer digital learning alongside their core offer.

It's been really tough since then - but have been determined to prove myself and have from scratch built new commercials, selling decks, processes, a website - been generating new business slowly through networking internally for intros to other clients of group companies ( since no lead generation in place). In that time several of my rescued colleagues have become discouraged and moved on elsewhere. When one key one left we were told to go ahead and recruit by the CEO.

that CEO (my sponsor) has now recently left too and the part I'm in has now been moved to join up with another group company and its all chaos. we were on the cusp of offering the role and now been instructed to pause. I've just won a new project and we do need this additional person to deliver...

my line manager is nice but doesnt understand the work we do and is madly chaotic. really doesnt help.

its just a rollercoaster and i never know where i am really.

new CEO has been encouraging and says he has heard great things about me - but is then holding this role back.

There are worries about sales across the group and a leadership vacuum at the moment ...

Would a coach help me work out best thing to do here?

Yes

I should have added - if anyone can please point me in the right direction of decent career coaching I'd be grateful. It's a crowded and not very regulated market so I'm really unsure where to start

Just a gentle bump for any suggestions of how to find a genuinely good career coach
