I have been working in the civil service for 1 year. A higher level position was advertised in our team and unfortunately I was unsuccessful. But noone in our team was successful so it is now being advertised externally.
I enjoy my role but I now feel sad as I feel that if none of us are good enough for the new role surely that is a training need. To further my career it will mean leaving the team I like. Several other team members have left for the same reason since I started.
I just needed to vent !
