Everyone complained about me

I complained about my own manager after months of issues with him that began to impact the team I manage

He booked a meeting in with them and the outcome was all of them put in a grievance directed at me. I feel it’s collusion as their complaints also mirror my complaint against my own manager, he’s egged them on to complain against me.

So I’m in an extremely weird and difficult position and just wanted to speak to someone 🙁

Speak to ACAS.

How do you know your team made this grievance? And what were you rold.

Firstly this feels really off. There should have been someone independent to meet with your team to discuss their concerns! Secondly, contact your union rep if you have one, any trade professional body and ACAS for advice.

I did but they could only give general advice and not tailored advice

There’s a lot of odd bullying stuff happening at workplaces at the moment. It’s entirely possible that none of your colleagues made any complaints about you and you are being fed lies. You can either shrug it off and wait for sanity to be restored or leave.

The good thing about a grievance it all has to be evidenced and investigated

whilst not nice if you haven’t done it and they have no examples and evidence you’ll be fine

No it’s definitely real but they don’t have evidence aside from 4 people against me

Does your employer have a policy about how it deals with counter grievances?

Yes it does but it also states that they find it petty essentially
