I was bullied by my managers in my current job, my manager shouted and said inappropriate things, Due to that I was signed off for anxiety and depression for 2 weeks, on my return I had another meeting with this other manager who made everything worse, to which after the meeting I handed my notice,

But I loved my job it fits around school run etc so I regretted it and thought I can cope with the horrible managers but look for a job whilst at work I asked to withdraw my notice 2 days after handing it in to which my manager said no.

I am topped up my UC so will notify when my job is finished,

My question is are employers going to be suspicious re career end without currently being in a job? Iv been applying and all 9 jobs have not replied,

any one have any similar situations like this and have any advice? I'm a medical secretary at a GP surgery,

Any advice would be great , thanks

Can you do some temporary work, which will help you rebuild your confidence and will enable you to explain the brief gap in employment. You wanted a short break, no further explanation needed. People don't have to be employed 100% of the time and if a prospective employer gives you a hard time about that, they probably aren't worth working for.

nowadays employers are more reasonable and accommodating about short breaks, if you're the right person for the job make sure you focus on what you are able to offer them.
