Work changing shifts

I work 2-8pm.(Office)
The workplace is going to shut at 6pm. I agreed to voluntarily change to earlier hours .
They then warned us they are taking the Saturday shift away. (I work 4 weekdays and a Saturday). (The days are my contacted shifts and have been for 5 years)
I won't practically be able to swap the Saturday for the other weekday due to caring responsibilities. My weekdays are each 6 hours and my Saturday is 8 hours.
Do I have any options such as compensation of any kind? or will it be a case of take the other weekday or reduce my hours.?
Its civil service.

As it’s Civil Service I would ask if you can work 4 x 8 hours = 32 hours and retain your NWD. It is a reasonable request and it is a fairly common working pattern.
