What to wear?

Hi everyone,

I have an final interview / signing me off meeting at an office where the dress code is casual. For instance the CEO has been on zooms with me in a jumper and jeans.

I've never worked in that sort of environment before, so have always interviewed in very smart clothes. What would you wear for this type of environment? I've never been to the office before (75% of the work force are home based) so I can't even model it on what I've seen.

Thanks!

I think even if the environment is casual, as the new interviewee it makes sense to do casual more smartly.

So maybe a jumper with black trousers and boots/loafers?

Is it in person or zoom? Smart shirt without patterns, tidy hair, smart skirt. I think it’s ok to over-dress for an interview.

It's in person

My office is all trainers, jeans and hoodies but for interviews I dressed much smarter. Not suits but tailored trousers, loafers and fine knit jumpers. For one I wore an oversize blazer.

Smart trousers and a nice blouse. A smart shirt dress and flats etc. There's not much need to go for full on formal/suit 'office wear' in many interviews now days. I wouldn't go too casual for an interview regardless of what they wear day to day though.

Thanks everyone, lots of ideas here! I've been in very formal environments until now, which from an interview perspective is much easier!

Just nice separates. COS wide leg trousers and a nice top.
