Probations

I started a new job which had a 6m probation which would have been Dec. All has gone well since I joined, great feedback and I've been told verbally everyone is happy and I've passed my probation but I've not received anything in writing. I mentioned it to my manager who said ah yes I need to do something for hr but a few months later I've not had writing confirmation which I'd assume you should get? It's a large company.

I guess I'm asking have you actually legally passed your probation if you haven't had confirmation in writing?

I don’t think you always get confirmation, I think usually once the date has passed you’ve passed (unless you’ve heard otherwise).

I’ve never had written confirmation Judy my manager saying its passed. That’s I. Several large multinational companies. Wouldn’t worry about it.

Probation is pretty meaningless. You don't really have legal employment rights till you've been there 2 years whether you've passed probation or not.

Don't worry about it.
