Payroll jobs

I have done a bit of payroll/finance jobs but only for a short while covering someone at work for a very small company

I'm looking to get into payroll but all the jobs I've found you need experience

Is this a skill you can learn online, remote ? Any courses that anyone can recommend that will teach me the basis ?

I've seen a lot of remote jobs with flexi hours but I'm not confident enough to be able to complete whole cycle of payroll but its something I'd like to

Try looking for HR service desk or HR Advisor or Reward type roles. These often interact with payroll and you can build up your knowledge. I have known people in these roles who have an aptitude move over into payroll.
