Phased return to work

I’ve been off sick for 14 weeks and I’m looking at returning. There’s an option to return on a phased basis. My understanding is that I will be paid for the hours I work and the rest will be made up with sick pay. I get 28 weeks full company sick pay so still have 14 weeks entitlement left.
if I return on a phased basis will every week be counted a a full week taken off my entitlement or will this be pro rata?

Have you spoken to your work Occupational Health team yet? I'd expect them to be involved in the planning of a phased return.

In my experience, the time off during a phased return is pro-rata for sickness pay purposes (and any longer term things like rolling sickness periods etc).

Thank you. Not spoken to anyone yet I have a meeting next week with my hr department to discuss options.
