NHS fit4jobs

I'm so happy I've been offered a job (secretary type role)!

I've received a fit4jobs survey and I'm so worried I've messed it up!!!

I think I've said no to having evidence to polio and diphtheria vaccines, well I did say no because I don't. Fit4jobs have now emailed me saying if I don't have evidence of having them I need to have them.

Shall I ring my gp in the morning and ask for it? Will they have vaccine records from baby/child?

How much of a detriment will this now have? I'm worried sick!

If you don't have recent evidence of having this jabs then I think you will need to have them again when you have joined the nhs, if I can remember correctly. You won't loose your job offer because of this.

dreamfield · 24/04/2024 20:50

Why are you worried sick? Just obtain the evidence or get the vaccines. Not a big deal.

TeenLifeMum · 24/04/2024 20:52

If you don’t have evidence they’ll give them to you again, don’t worry.

SpamIAm · 24/04/2024 20:55

Ask your GP, I would have thought it would be on your records. But if not, your employer will just vaccinate you. Occupational health love nothing more (as far as I can tell 😂) than merrily sticking needles in staff.

Your job offer isn't conditional on you having already been vaccinated, they're just checking whether or not they need to offer you any vaccinations.

FlakyAquaQuoter · 24/04/2024 20:58

As above, your GP should have records but worst case is they don't in which case you get a "welcome to the NHS" jab. Probably not the last! Please don't worry. Really isn't an issue!

RollOnSpringDays · 24/04/2024 21:00

They are likely to be on your GP record.

BlueyAndBing0 · 24/04/2024 21:11

Ok thanks for the replies! I'll call the gp in the morning and see how far I get :)

Sorry, I know this a very old message, but did you have to have the vaccines done again in the end?

BlueyAndBing0 · 24/04/2026 19:58

Funnily enough no, and I never got evidence from the GP either. I just said I’d book it and never did lol
