Job offer dilemma

I’m currently applying for multiple roles. I have the first and second interviews for two roles on Friday. I don’t know how long the interview process es are for these companies.

I interviewed with a third company last week and they’ve come back today to say they will be sending me an offer tomorrow. They were keen in the interview to know whether I was interviewing with anyone else and I admitted I was. They seem keen to secure me in the role before others get a chance to offer which is flattering but has left me with a dilemma.

The role is good but the other roles are also really interesting and offer me slightly different opportunities. Ideally I’d like to see how far I get with all of them but how do I avoid annoying this first company? I don’t want to appear to be messing them about.

Congratulations! Any job offer is exciting, whether you take it or not. It’s not unusual to take a few days to consider a job offer, although would imagine you won’t be able to drag it out much past Monday. Maybe do the interviews and see how you feel. If you feel confident enough you could mention you’ve had another offer and need to go back to them by X date

could you potentially try to find some sort of question (or query something on the job offer), to ‘stall’ them a bit? if you get the offer tomorrow, you could say you’d like to take the weekend to think about it, and then ask them a pertinent question on Monday afternoon. By the time they come back to you on Tuesday you may well have got an answer from the others.

Fo you think it makes any difference that they approached me directly, I’m pretty sure there were no other applicants and they were made aware during the first interview that I was at the early interview stages for a couple of other jobs?
