Issues Being A Union Rep

Has anyone had any issues with their boss once they’ve become a union rep ?
Anyone been prevented from doing it, or had any negative treatment because of it ?

Any benefits of doing it or good experiences too, I’d love to hear them ?

In my experience, it puts the wind up them nicely :)
They can't prevent you doing it.
