NHS Pay- Cut off Date

Anyone familiar with NHS pay OR anyone in HR who can assist me, I will be starting NHS work on June 10th. The cut off date is the 10th of every month.Does that mean I will not be paid until the end of July? Or how does it work with NHS

Yes, you’ll have to wait till July. Because there’s a risk you won’t turn up on the 10th.

Probably correct - I started on the payroll cutoff date and had to work until the end of the following month to get paid.

Some NHS trusts will have a supplementary pay run a few days after the main pay run. Ask your manager/recruitment contact if you'll be paid on the supplementary payroll.

It's a question for your recruitment contact. We would put someone on the payroll in advance, effective from the start date and I would expect you to get paid a part-month salary.
