Nhs sick pay

I have worked in nhs for less than a year, so i know i only qualify for the one months full sickness pay. But in order to get paid for being off sick, do i need to also have a sick note and does it have to be in a block of sickness days? Or do i automatically get paid for being off one or two days?

You should automatically get paid full pay from day 1 you are off.
Yes you always need a sick note for NHS but for the first 7 days it's a self certification form you fill in and submit.
There may be one on your intranet or ask your manager to forward one to you.

So other than a self cert i dont need to do anything i will just recieve full pay for the few days im off?

Yes that's correct.
As long as you follow the local process in terms of telling your line manager you are off sick and then completing a self certification certificate you will automatically be paid full pay
