Hi all, Last year I became a single Mum to an 18 month old. I am now covering the entire mortgage, running the household, paying the bills and keeping me and my son afloat financially. I've always worked for charities as a project manager or in community engagement. That said I would like to learn to drive, purchase a car and eventually move house all of which requires me being able to save. Even in a managment role in the charity sector the pay is terrible. I'd like to move into the private sector even just short-term to save a little but not even sure what sort of work would match my skillset. My background is:
Fundraising
Volunteer coordination
Project Management and delivery
Community/social/environmental campaigning
Behaviour change manager at an environmental charity
To be honest I don't mind if I have to do something I'm not that passionate about just for a bit while I prioritise saving and making ends meet for me and my toddler. Has anyone done this? Can think of any roles that might suit someone wanting to switch sector? Any advice welcome :)
