Just looking for some kind words and advice please if anyone has the time. What is it in the world of work the past few years? I have worked in offices the past few years.
Started a new job a few weeks ago and once again. I have ended up with the two lunatics of the office. My team. Rude, spouting off their opinions at the top their voice, belittling staff, bitching, territorial..... blah blah blah. Everyone has acknolwedged their behaviour. Staff members have approached me to say they would hate to work in the team and do not know how I can with stand it. Well,the answer is I need a job! I have job hopped the past few years in the hope of just finding a nice team with no dramas. Clearly, this is too much to ask. I'm at the end of my rope!! I am now the breadwinner as my husband resigned from his job the other week due to stress and toxic work culture. Can I just say my husband is the kindest man you could ever meet and worked in childrens care and understandably can not do it anymore! Its horrendous!
Back to my job....Last, staff member moved internally due to this teams behaviour. My manager who is very busy and not always in the office. Had a meeting with me last week and informed me that they are aware they have had problems with this team (two staff members). They are going to deal with the behaviour but do not want to put me in the firing line?? I sit right in between them. HR have got involved and one senior member of staff has also intervened met with me today saying I may need to approach my manager and call it a day!! Great so does that mean I am out of job??? I am going round and round. Help! I need a job! and some peace!!
