At work myself and another colleague were told we were no longer being line managed by officers and to be managed by the team manager instead. The team manager told the whole team in a meeting. My old line manager is furious and people have said the ones affected should have been told beforehand and not just as a whole team on Microsoft Teams.
My old line manager is seeking union advice as he says his job description has line management responsbilties and he should have given advanced notice. This has stemmed from someone else saying they don't have time to line manager because they are working in another job in works time.
I don't want the company thinking it has me who has complained.
