I had a job that I loved but I never saw my children, and my partner was struggling with picking up the slack and running his own business, so I left for a job which the hours are perfect for my husband and I see the kids more, yet the role just isn’t me at all, I get 0 out of it.

I am so down and regretting my choice massively, however I may have an opportunity to go back to my original job.

So be in a job you love but have no life, or a job you hate and have a life? 🤷🏻‍♀️

3rd job, the first didn't work for your family.

Definitely look for a 3rd Job. You need something you enjoy, but with a bit of flexibility and a work - life balance. Otherwise what's the point?

Can you go back to your old job but with a change of hours?

What would be the change in hours and family life if you went back? You might need to look for another option

i choose my kids every time. i work for them

Can you see if you can negotiate reduced hours, compressed hours, wfh etc at your old employer?
